From concerned parent to award-winning entrepreneur, Caitrin Kincaid’s CubeFun is revolutionizing playtime for children, igniting their imagination and promoting active lifestyles with soft plush cubes that turn exercise into a delightful game of make-believe.
Caitrin Kincaid is the founder of CubeFun, an innovative children’s toy company on a mission to get kids active through play. In 2021, Caitrin launched CubeFun after becoming concerned that her own children were not getting enough physical activity during lockdown. She created a simple but engaging toy – soft plush cubes that display different actions for children to copy, turning exercise into a fun game of make-believe.

In just two years, Caitrin has achieved remarkable success. CubeFun won the National Start Up Awards Rising Star for Northern Ireland, the IOD pitching competition and grants from Enterprise Nation and Women in Business NI. The product featured on RTE’s Late Late Toy Show and is used by Special Olympics Ireland. CubeFun was also accepted into the prestigious Amazon Launchpad program.
Caitrin’s vision is for CubeFun to become a bestseller, stocked in independent toy stores across the UK and Ireland. She aims to create a wider range of products promoting movement and mental health in children. Caitrin’s inspiring journey from concerned parent to award-winning entrepreneur shows what can be achieved with a great idea, determination and passion.
As finalists in the 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards, known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship”, Caitrin and CubeFun have been recognized as one of the UK’s most exciting new businesses.
