Fazane Fox is the award-winning founder of The Production Lab, a unique clothing development and production company based in the UK. Launched in 2011, The Production Lab helps start-ups, designers and established brands create innovative, high-quality clothing and accessories.
Fox was inspired to start the business after recognizing a gap in the market to support emerging fashion brands in developing their first collections. Having previously worked for a large supplier, Fox wanted to do things differently by paying suppliers fairly, using sustainable practices and providing an ethical business model.
Under Fox’s leadership, The Production Lab has achieved significant success, including tripling revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Fox subsequently became seriously ill from stress and nearly lost the business. Through determination and with the support of her all-female team, Fox brought The Production Lab back from the brink of collapse. The company is now on track to return to profitability by the end of the year.
