Olly Reid and Darrell Irwin, the purpose-driven leaders behind HUM4NS, are making a positive impact on people’s lives and businesses, recognized as finalists in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023 for their inspiring journey of purpose and growth.
Olly Reid and Darrell Irwin are two purpose-driven leaders on a mission to help people become happier, healthier, smarter and kinder. Their journey began over 25 years ago when Olly, then a 13-year-old boy, declared his ambition to become a teacher. Despite a career advisor’s dismissal and doubt in his abilities, Olly persevered in pursuing his goal. After finding success as an educator and business coach, Olly introduced the concept of HUM4NS to fellow entrepreneurs in 2019. This is where he crossed paths with Darrell, a like-minded leader seeking to create positive change.
In 2021, Olly and Darrell officially co-founded HUM4NS, a personal and professional development company, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They built a community of business leaders committed to wellbeing and growth despite immense challenges. Through their HUM4NS TALKS events, Olly and Darrell have provided a platform for over 40 speakers to share inspiring and impactful messages with 400 attendees. They also launched the HUM4NBEINGS leadership mastermind group to amplify the work of organisations like the UK’s leading loneliness charity, Marmalade Trust.
Olly and Darrell’s purpose and impact have been recognised through several accolades. HUM4NS was named a Rising Star of the Year finalist at the 2022 and 2023 National Startup Awards, a finalist in the 2022 Great British Entrepreneur Awards’ Health & Beauty category, and the 2022 Enterprise Nation’s Top People (Wellbeing & HR) Adviser. Looking ahead, Olly and Darrell plan to continue creating positive change through expanding HUM4NS TALKS, growing HUM4NBEINGS, increasing business coaching, and rolling out their HUM4N CATALYST personal development programme.
