Mindful Mixology, led by entrepreneur Danielle Wilson, is shaking up the cocktail scene with award-winning, lower-sugar cocktails, and they’re finalists at the prestigious Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023.
Danielle Wilson and her brand Mindful Mixology are transforming the cocktail experience. Launched in 2020, Mindful Mixology creates delicious pour-and-serve cocktails made with significantly less sugar and a strong emphasis on supporting small, independent brands. All of their cocktails are vegan-friendly, plastic-free and 5% of profits are donated to charity.
After being ill for several years and cutting sugar from her diet, Danielle noticed a gap in the market for cocktails with less sugar and transparent labelling.
The average espresso martini contains more sugar than Coca-Cola, so Danielle aimed to create an honest brand with cocktails simply made more mindfully while offering bar-quality taste.
Mindful Mixology’s biggest achievements to date include winning seven Great Taste Awards, including the coveted three-star award for their lychee martini, reserved for the top 1-2% of all international entrants.
They have also won medals from the ‘Free From’ Awards sponsored by Tesco and the Great British Food Awards in 2023. They have been featured in The Metro, The Guardian and regularly feature on the radio.
Looking to the future, Mindful Mixology is launching single-serve cocktails perfect for shops and delis in September this year, along with a new and improved non-alcoholic range.
By 2024, they want to increase their presence in shops across the UK and target the on-trade market with their bag-in-box refills.
